About Us

Chainsaw Cheri's Tree Service was founded by Cheri "Chainsaw" McAdam, an expert arborist and former Montana wildland firefighter. Cheri's career in wildland firefighting lead her all over the country to serve as an expert sawyer and trainer, a crew boss, and as a safety authority with the Forest Service. Along the way her skill and speed with a saw earned her the simple, but hardcore, nickname "Chainsaw". After leaving the forest service to spend more time in her beloved home in the Bitterroots, she found she couldn't leave the forest and the trees (nor the saws) behind. Cheri founded Chainsaw Cheri's Tree Service to continue her passion of tree work, educate others, and be around other people who love our trees. Tree cutting, fire prevention, and safety are still at the core of what we do, but we also bring with us the refined arborist skills Montana's home and landowners deserve.
